Taking Care of Our Communities
Range Resources cares about preserving Pennsylvania's communities and countryside for future generations. And so, since we began drilling here more than 25 years ago, we've been committed to doing all we can to protect the land while we develop this important domestic source of clean-burning natural gas. The Commonwealth's Department of Environmental Protection and other agencies have strict regulations in place, and you can rest assured that we will meet or exceed those standards for every well we drill. Quite simply, the opportunities for Pennsylvania are too great for us not to get it right.
You might be surprised how little environmental impact a natural gas well actually has. Range Resources uses proven, time-tested technologies that allow us to work with minimal surface impacts. We're required to restore the land to its original condition, but we do our best to make it look even better than before. All that remains after drilling is an access road and production equipment that takes up about as much space as a two-car garage. From that facility, we're able to develop enough natural gas to power thousands of homes for decades. We encourage people to keep in mind that drilling is an industrial process, but we believe in doing everything we can to minimize disturbances. Most landowners agree that the rewards outweigh any temporary inconveniences.
